Learning and teaching activities are planned and organised by teachers within the school timetable framework. These activities are given direction by the Religious Education Units of Work and the Curriculum Framework for Western Australian Schools. They cover the nine learning areas for a Catholic school, that are Religious Education, The Arts, English, Health and Physical Education, Languages Other Than English, (LOTE), Mathematics, Science, Society and Environment, Technology and Enterprise.
Teachers plan activities to develop student skills and learning. This includes opportunities for students to practise and apply the new skills to demonstrate their learning.
Student learning is enhanced when some of the activities, practices and applications, are continued as Homework.
A Homework routine assists a student to establish practices that will enable them to monitor their independent studies. This routine is necessary if students are to continue to enjoy success with formal education.
